Tire pressure could drop drastically during the cold months of winter because of the cold. When you monitor carefully, you will have better gas mileage minimizing your chances of a flat tire. It’s also wise to avoid having your gasoline tank get below the quarter mark. Pertaining to older cars or trucks, this is going to prevent the gas lines from freezing but it doesn’t apply to newer vehicles. But you should always have enough fuel to avoid being stranded. Make sure that you get an emergency kit made up of cold weather accessories like gloves and hats. The kit should also have flares, flashlight, jumper cables and some tools.
Just before winter appears, have every one of your fluids checked, because some of them are affected by the conditions found during winter. You certainly have to check your air conditioning, especially when residing in a place the temperatures get below freezing. Almost all engine connected breakdowns, costing thousands of dollars, are generated by failures in the cooling system. Be certain your antifreeze is satisfactory and check it all through the winter. While doing so keep your windshield washer fluid having a liquid that will not freeze. If your battery is getting older, check it out, because it could be a problem in winter.
